Kharkiv Regional Foundation "Public Alternative"

 

Established in 2005, Kharkiv regional foundation „Public Alternative" is a ukrainian non-government organization, with aim to contribute to building an open civil society in Ukraine, to realizing of civil rights and freedom of citizens. Organization's main activities are: human rights monitoring; education programs on human rights and rights of people with disabilities; educational programs on human rights; antidiscrimination projects on disabilities; promotion of children rights and taking into consideration of child's interests during court hearings and legal procedures; programs on prevention of domestic violence; programs on empowerment of local communities etc. The Foundation took part in preparation of alternative report on UPR in 2010 and 2012 and in preparation of the report to UN committee of rights of the child in 2010, and also contributed to the translation of COMPASS (manual on human rights education of Council of Europe) to Ukrainian language. The Foundation is a member of Committee of international control over the human rights situation in Belarus.

The OSCE Parallel Civil Society Conference 2022 took place on Wednesday, 30 November 2022 in Łódź, on the eve of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting. As in previous years, the Parallel Conference is organized by the OSCE-wide NGO network, the Civic Solidarity Platform (CSP), with the support of the Polish OSCE Chairpersonship 2022.
