Swedish OSCE Network

The Swedish OSCE Network was founded in 1992 as a network of 25 civil society organizations active on issues of peace, democracy, women’s rights, human rights, religious freedom, freedom of the media, and humanitarian aid. It also includes individual members. Based in Stockholm, with members from all parts of Sweden, the Network works to promote the ideas of the OSCE and to inform the public about OSCE activities. The Network hosts expert seminars on regional hot spots such as the Balkans or Central Asia and on issues such as military security and confidence building, and minority rights. The Network is a co-organizer of the long-running Nordic Forum, an annual conference on security and cooperation in the Baltic region. The Network is a non-government organization managed by volunteers.
